People always asked us, why we have Aviation Ranch and what our plan is?
When we purchased the property we wanted a place to launch from, a place that we could stay at while we were there as well as a place to share with our fellow balloonists in the community. A place where people could tailgate without a problem, cheese and crackers are available for the children and the wine and cheese flows for the adult crowd. Bringing to the Cordele countryside the friendship and fellowship is never far from heart.
Our purchase of the property had no expectations. Unlimited potential where the imagination could literally take flight from our very own backyard. The remodeling of the house brings with it not just a place to stay for ourselves, but extra beds for friends and family as they travel through town as well as a place to prepare food for those who are around our table.
The Aviation Ranch is a safe haven for balloonists and pilots so that there is always a place to land their aircraft and a place to rest their heads. We started clearing the property, starting the cascade of events to include places to launch, places to camp, places to tether. A place to train new pilots, those who need to get current, and even those who wish to expand their horizons beginning at sunrise.
Continuing to watch our growth and as we thrive through the love and friendship that each new person brings to both our hearts as well as our table is the greatest contribution that we could ever ask for. The Unofficial Georgia-Florida Balloon Flying Club Hot Air Balloon Safety Seminar 2024
Thank you Thank you Thank you! The event was a great success. We were so thrilled to see so many of you at the seminar and out at the ranch after the seminar! Thank you everyone who was involved making this such a great event.
Balloon Rides
We have had someone contact us via the contact form on the Aviation-Ranch site. They are asking about balloon rides in the Cordele area. If you wish to help them out please contact Robyn. Here is the information she provided.

Add an EVENT!
Did you know you can add an event to the A-R Calendar? If you have not already subscribed to the Aviation-Ranch calendar there is a video tutorial available in the download center to show you how. As a member with a “Chuck 
Wagon” membership or above you can add events to the calendar! We now have 20 different categories for events. When you add an event the Ranch Boss will review the event and when approved it will show up on the calendar. When you “LOG IN” you can go to the calendar and just below the calendar legend you will find an “Add an Event” link. Click on this link and you will be taken to a form where you can add an event complete with Dates, times, location and more.
In the works
Soon we will have a section on the site where you can actually reserve a cabin, an RV pad and more. We are working on several projects at this point but soon we will have calendars available that will allow you to book slots in our onsite accommodations. While this is not live at the moment here is a sneak peak at what is “In the Works”
The Photo Gallery
Over the next few weeks we will be creating several new pages in the Aviation-Ranch photo gallery. Currently we have several galleries on one single page. We will be creating pages based on the type of photos so it is easier 
for our members and visitors to see the photos they are interested in. One of the pages we are excited to create is the “Before and After” page. This photo gallery will show some of the projects around the ranch and how things have changed! Did you know as a member YOU can submit photos for the galleries? When you are “LOGGED IN” you can scroll down to the bottom of the Photo Gallery page and find the “Submit a Photo” button. Send us your favorite photo!
Create a POST
Did you know as a member you can add a post to the site? When you are “LOGGED IN” you can click on the 
members tab in the menu and you will see a link called “Member Posting”. You can use this link to send us a post or a topic for the site. Currently there are 12 different categories you can post to. Log in and have a look at the post a topic form and send us a note!
DOWNLOAD CENTER
We have been adding more and more files to the Download Center. As is the case, you must be logged in to see ALL THE FILES in the download center.
We currently have many different categories of files. These include, Video Tutorials, Competition Video Tutorials, Tutorial Presentations, KML Files, Files Forms and Documents, My Member Downloads. Let us know if you wish to have any other categories added to the download center.
My Member Downloads
The last category “My Member Downloads” is a great 
feature. Any time you download a file a copy of it will be listed in your member downloads files. If in the future you need to download that file again you do not need to search all the different categories to find that file again. Just LOG IN and click on the link “My Member Downloads” and you will see a complete history of every download you have ever done.
